 Record Description The Wood Tiger Moth (Parasemia plantaginis) can often be seen flying in the daytime on acid grassland. Hawkbit (Scabious) is a primary larval foodplant but it also feeds on many other species of low-growing plants

 Additional Notes For the Smokers amongst us only, if one applies a lighted cigarette end to the flower of Devil's Bit Scabious it will be seen to turn incandescent green!
